It’s that time of year again. Everyone seems to have predictions about almost everything for the new year. And the retail industry is certainly no exception. Forbes has some very interesting ones though, including that up to 25% of U.S. retail square footage will be begin to be converted into warehouse space for click-and-collect and delivery purposes, that more retailers will begin to accept reward points from third-party credit cards (Amazon already does, via American Express) and that email will be replaced by messaging apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp as a retail marketing tactic.
