Scary Good Halloween Sales Expected For Retailers

Last year, Americans spent record amounts of money decorating their houses for the fall and winter holidays, owing to the novel coronavirus outbreak, which disrupted many traditional components of celebrations. The excitement for decorating appears to have not abated, according to early statistics from Home Depot. Walmart to Launch DoorDash Competitor

Walmart is introducing its own local delivery service for other businesses’ goods. The retailing behemoth’s new GoLocal strategy will pit it against DoorDash, Uber, and other comparable businesses. The firm claims to have already signed a number of contracts with both small and large organizations. The program, which will be run by independent contractors, will launch in a few months. According to a Sanford C. Bernstein analyst, the gray market for personal luxury items expanded 8% to $257 billion globally last year. Unlike counterfeit black market items, gray market goods are genuine but have no affiliation with brand makers. Amazon To Venture Into Department Stores

Amazon.com aims to open several department store locations in California and Ohio, offering many of the same popular fashion, consumer electronics, home, and other brands found in retail chains. Target to Open 100 More Disney Shops for Holiday Season
