Walmart Announces Increased Drone Delivery Plans
Walmart unveiled major plans for increased drone delivery by the end of 2022 last week. Last year, the store began offering consumer drone delivery to homes in Arizona. It has now announced that it will expand its DroneUp delivery network to six states before the end of the year. In Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, 34 new network sites have been added. Walmart claims that such an expansion would give it the “potential” to reach 4 million U.S. households and the ability to deliver over 1 million packages each year by drone. Read More
